Consider putting the positioners under sheets, inside a pillowcase, or ordering a non stock positioner cover or fitted cushion cover to reduce risk of skin damage if any of the following apply:
 
Positioners can be ordered with covers – this is recommended for clients who struggle with temperature control or are being treated for any pre-existing skin conditions. (E.G Excessive sweating, dry skin, broken skin, eczema, use of medicated or skin barrier creams).
The use of heated or weighted blankets is not recommended
All positioners are to be used with the guidance provided by the Health Care professional.
Positioners are not to be used on an open undressed wound.
